LTG Group Awarded International Top Employer Certification

LTG, the largest railway group in the Baltics, has been awarded the prestigious Top Employer Lithuania certification. Moreover, this is the first time the performance of the LTG Group has been assessed by international experts using globally recognised methodologies, with the Group’s results exceeding the average score of employers participating in this year’s study.

LTG received particularly high ratings for talent attraction, leadership development, digitalisation and employee engagement. The international certification confirms that the LTG Group applies the highest standards of human resources management, with a strong focus on employee wellbeing and professional growth.

According to Egidijus Lazauskas, CEO of the LTG Group, the certification reflects the organisation’s consistent efforts to become an attractive and competitive employer while remaining a state-owned company.

‘For us, the Top Employer certification is more than recognition – it is proof that a commitment to investing in people, their wellbeing, and organisational culture is the foundation of success. Today’s labour market demands not only competitive working conditions but also a meaningful employee experience. For us, leadership means creating an environment in which talent can grow, contribute to impactful projects and, in doing so, increase the value created for the state. Our goal is not only to attract the best professionals, but also to empower them to contribute to building a more sustainable future for Lithuania,’ says E. Lazauskas, CEO of the LTG Group.

Organisational Culture and High Employee Engagement Recognised

Top Employer is an extensive annual audit conducted by the Top Employer Institute, during which international experts assess twenty different areas, including reward and performance management, HR strategy, employee motivation systems, sustainability, digitalisation and talent attraction. As part of the certification process, companies provide detailed, data-driven and evidence-based information on their human resources management practices. This information is then thoroughly reviewed by representatives of the Top Employer Institute, as well as by independent auditors. Under this methodology, companies are certified in 131 countries worldwide.

Recognition by international experts reflects the LTG Group’s efforts to create an inclusive, respectful and safe working environment where every employee’s contribution is valued. LTG’s annual employee engagement index reached 84 points in 2025. Such a high level of engagement demonstrates strong trust in the organisation, satisfaction with working conditions, and motivation to contribute to shared organisational goals.

International experts also highlighted LTG’s systematic efforts to strengthen an inclusive organisational culture based on respect for diversity and equal opportunities. LTG recognises that families take many forms and treats all of them equally. As a result, the Group applies a broader definition of a close family member, which includes partners and non-biological children. Considerable attention is also paid to equal opportunities initiatives, gender balance, and awareness-raising – all of which were highly rated during the certification process.

Flexibility and Strong Leadership Among Key Strengths

A significant part of the assessment focused on the LTG Group’s progress in digitalisation – from modern HR management solutions to advanced digital tools used in day-to-day operations. The digital solutions implemented at LTG help streamline everyday processes and support a modern, flexible working environment.

The LTG Group also places strong emphasis on strengthening organisational culture, promoting lifelong learning and expanding internal career opportunities. To ensure long-term organisational success, the Group actively invests in leadership development and skills enhancement initiatives.

The international recognition once again confirms the LTG Group’s strategic direction: to consistently strengthen human resources governance practices, foster an organisational culture that responds to employee needs, and position itself as an attractive employer for talent both in Lithuania and internationally.
