LTG has a new Chair of the Board

LTG has a new Chair of the Board – the LTG Group Board has elected Robertas Vyšniauskas, a seasoned professional with many years of experience serving on corporate boards.

“The key priorities of the Ministry of Transport and the company’s main shareholder – the state – for the LTG Group are the completion of one of the largest railway infrastructure modernization projects, the electrification of the Vilnius–Klaipėda line; smoother implementation of the European‑gauge ‘Rail Baltica’ construction project; increasing freight volumes; and accelerating the implementation of military mobility projects,” says Minister of Transport Juras Taminskas.

“I am grateful to the members of the Board and to the shareholder for the trust they have placed in me. We are facing a highly dynamic and challenging period, and I believe that together with LTG’s team of professional leaders, we will succeed in overcoming these challenges,” says the new Chair of the LTG Board.

According to LTG Group CEO Egidijus Lazauskas, the new LTG Board is already actively involved in the Group’s activities. “This is not merely a new team – it represents a body of expertise that will shape the future of railways both in Lithuania and across the region. I am pleased that the elected Board brings together knowledge accumulated in the fields of railway transport, logistics, defence, management and strategy. I am confident it will become a partner and advisor on LTG Group’s transformation journey and in the implementation of the Group’s strategic projects,” says E. Lazauskas.

R. Vyšniauskas has accumulated more than 10 years of experience in the management, business development and risk management of large international companies. He has a strong understanding of board governance principles and has contributed to the management of UAB “EPSO-G”, AB “KN Energies”, as well as companies linked to or controlled by UAB “Vilniaus prekyba”.

The new Board consists of five independent members – Tomas Zdanavičius, Michael Fohrer and Peter Nielsen. On 17 December last year, two additional independent members – Aurimas Tomas Staškevičius and Robertas Vyšniauskas – joined the LTG Board. The governance structure of the Group is also shaped by two civil servants from the Ministry of Transport – Saulius Kerza and Agnė Amelija Mikalonė.

The Board consists of seven members, five of whom are independent.
