In alignment with its international commitments, the LTG Group is undertaking an ambitious pledge to reduce total CO2 emissions from rail transport by 30% by 2030 and to achieve climate neutrality by 2050.

To minimise our impact on climate change, we have initiated the modernisation of our trains, incorporating energy-efficient technology in lighting and heating systems, and using renewable energy sources.

Strategic projects are being developed to meet our ambitious goals, making a significant contribution to our goal of becoming a climate-neutral organisation:

  • Electrification of main railway lines and the re-electrification of previously electrified routes.
  • The largest infrastructure project in the Baltics is the construction of Rail Baltica, aiming to integrate the Baltic countries into the European rail network.
  • Acquisition of electric passenger trains and freight locomotives.
  • Development of intermodal freight transportation services.
