In the field of waste management, the following priorities have been identified within the LTG Group: reducing the amount of waste generated, ensuring safe management practices for human health and the environment, optimising the use of material and energy resources from waste, and minimising the use of natural and other resources while reducing waste disposal in landfills.

The target is to ensure that 98% of the waste generated by the LTG Group is recyclable or energy-recoverable by 2030. Over the last few years, the amount of recyclable and energy-recoverable waste has increased from 90% to 99%.

We are increasingly prioritising the circular economy. For instance, we are reusing wooden and reinforced concrete railings as well as road ballast. Additionally, used oil, scrap metal, batteries, paper, cardboard, plastic waste, and packaging are systematically , and handed over to waste handlers for reuse or recycling.
