In the area of waste management, we have identified the following priorities within the LTG Group: to reduce the amount of waste generated, to ensure that waste is managed in a way that is safe for human health and the environment, to rationalise the use of material and energy resources from waste, and to minimise the use of natural and other resources and the disposal of waste in landfills.

The target is to make 98% of the waste generated by the LTG Group recyclable or energy recoverable by 2030. Over the last few years, the amount of recyclable and energy recoverable waste has increased from 90% to 99%.

We are increasingly focusing on the circular economy, for example by reusing wooden and reinforced concrete railings and road ballast. Used oil, scrap metal, batteries, paper, cardboard, plastic waste and packaging are sorted, collected separately and handed over to waste handlers for reuse or recycling.
