Rail Park exposition

In 2022, a unique space – the Rail Park – was opened at Vilnius Railway Station. It is an open-air exhibition, free of charge and open to the city’s residents and visitors, where they can see historic rolling stock: locomotives, automatics, a tanker, a steam locomotive, a restaurant car, and a variety of equipment used to maintain the rails. There is also a magical historical bell that makes travel wishes come true, as well as a little train and a swing made of train wheels for children.

Sustainability and recycling have been a major focus in the development of the Rail Park: old railway sleepers were used for walkways, disused fuel tanks and containers were used for landscaping, and old benches were brought back to life.
