LTG Link, the passenger transport company of the LTG Group, is launching its special “Palangos Link” route for the summer season for the tenth consecutive year. Trips on this route will run from June 5 to August 30, and as the route’s popularity grows, passengers can look forward to important new features—daily trips and additional stops.

The “Palangos Link” route is a combined train and bus journey. Passengers who purchase a single ticket travel by train to Kretinga, and from there continue their journey to Palanga on a special LTG Link bus. In previous years, this route operated only on weekends, but as its popularity has grown, trips will run daily this year. Additionally, trains heading to the coast this summer will stop at additional stations—in Šiauliai and Telšiai.

On weekdays and weekends, the train will depart from Vilnius around 11 a.m., stop in Telšiai, Šiauliai, and Kretinga, and passengers, after transferring to a special bus, will reach Palanga around 4 p.m. The return trip will begin around 5 p.m., and passengers will arrive in the capital shortly after 10 p.m. It is planned that once the temporary electrification work is completed, the journey to and from the coast will be shortened by one hour.

Comfort is ensured on trains running on this route—they feature spacious seating, the ability to charge smart devices, and access to Wi-Fi; as well as the option to choose seats with tables, and to bring bicycles, pets, and larger luggage.

The price of a second-class ticket from Vilnius to Palanga will be €27.70, from Šiauliai – €15.40, and from Telšiai – €9.80. Standard discounts apply to tickets, and parents traveling with children will be eligible for a 50% discount every day of the week.
