On International Car-Free Day, LTG Link is offering a 90% discount on train tickets
LTG Group passenger transport company LTG Link invites everyone to celebrate International Car-Free Day on Sunday, September 21, and choose trains for sustainable travel. A 90% discount will be applied to local route tickets on that day.
Car-Free Day, celebrated annually, is a reminder to residents to give up personal transportation for at least one day and join forces to create a cleaner environment. LTG Link is contributing to this initiative for the second time and promoting sustainable transportation by offering train tickets at a symbolic price.
LTG Link is offering a 90% discount on tickets for local routes on September 21, purchased online and via the mobile app, which is already valid. For example, on that day, a second-class train ticket for one adult traveling from Vilnius to Kaunas will cost only €0.84, and from Vilnius to Klaipėda – up to €3.
"A day without a car is a great opportunity not only for those who have never traveled by train to try it out, but also for experienced train travelers to once again appreciate the advantages of this choice. Today, trains not only provide fast and convenient transportation, but are also one of the most environmentally friendly modes of transport," comments Kristina Meidė, head of LTG Link.
A 90% discount on train tickets is offered to LTG Link passengers twice a year – on International Car-Free Day and Train Travelers' Day. The latter is celebrated on May 30 and has already become a traditional holiday for train enthusiasts and advocates of sustainable mobility.
LTG Link reminds passengers that multimodal travel is available, combining different modes of transport to ensure convenient and efficient travel.
